Development a Cloud-Based Wireless Smart Farm System

- Secure data farming infrastructure technology by developing and popularizing a cloud-based wireless smart farm solution, FarmLink. -

By modularizing cloud-based network management devices, wireless sensor nodes, and wireless driver nodes developed with its own technology, UBN Co., Ltd. has developed and provided its own smart farm solution “FarmLink," which can be operated stably in various environments such as short-acting greenhouses, interlocking greenhouses, open-field fruit trees, and vertical farms.

In particular, wireless home networks have been established for farms such as greenhouses and open fields in Korea, and wireless monitoring and control technologies have been implemented in their own networks. Cloud-based wireless devices can control integrated environments such as single- and interlocking facilities greenhouses and indoor vertical farms, and can be used outdoors without power and communication cables through solar power and wireless home networks.

Currently, smart farms are cutting-edge and advanced based on big data and artificial intelligence beyond simple automation, and UBN Co., Ltd. is currently leading data-based smart farm agricultural technology based on wireless communication technology.

UBN Co., Ltd. can be applied to various types of facilities such as single-family greenhouses, Yeondong greenhouses, open-air fruit trees, and vertical farms, starting with the installation of single-family melon greenhouses in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

It has developed and produced gateway, sensor node, and driver node, which are the core hardware of cloud-based smart farms, and by securing KC certification and verification of nine components, about 30 types of sensors and drivers can be easily connected in the cloud, contributing to the localization and advancement of smart farm technology.

UBN's "FarmLink" is a decentralized processing method that allows flexible expansion such as adding and changing greenhouses, reduces communication costs using wireless communication technology, and can be freely installed regardless of greenhouse type or structure. In the future, as a cloud-based platform, it will be possible to expand not only facility gardening but also open-air fruit trees and vertical farms.
